     @gdaniele the G1 almost definitely needs a swap partition while using CM6. I use 128MB, swappiness 40, and a mod to lowmemkiller

     @blakew I kept my 32mb swap partition and it suits my needs (w swappiness=10). I just have to enable it at each reboot (no userinit)

     @gdaniele firerat's patch can fix that, as a userinit.d script but needs to be reapplied every flash
