Which is more important: Inclusivity or Freedom? As a podcast, should we be using Twitter/Facebook/iTunes?

@uupc We need to bring our message to where people are. However, we also should support free software and free services. So: be on both.

@uupc As long as you don't provide something to the proprietary people that you deny to the freedom lovers I think you're good

@uupc You should use twitter etc but only to introduce people to freedom(e.g tell them about ubuntu, about identi.ca + data sharing issues)

@uupc Use all available tools to reach the widest audience-promote freedom where possible and with luck the paradigm changes.....

@uupc If you only use free services like identi.ca then you only preach to the converted and your msg doesn't get very far.

@uupc For an Ubuntu (user friendly, first distro) podcast, inclusivity is probably more important than freedom

@lucy Well, I've promoting identi.ca to my friends and family, as a preemptive strike to avoid having to talk to them on twitter.

@uupc As for inclusivity or freedom, the question comes down to what you wish to achieve. Picking appropriately tools for reaching a goal

@uupc is all you can do. Besides, You have me double-counted between Twitter and Identi.ca...

@uupc you may want to look at adding something extra to the Free side of things to encourage the use of those services vs the proprietary

@uupc iTunes is an essential discovery mechanism. Twitter and Facebook can help with some parts of audience relations.

@uupc I don't have Itunes account, have twitter & facebook. I get "bad vibes" about itunes and I know some don't like it. Nothing concrete

@alvarocarroz That's certainly the best plan, sadly most people I know have found twitter first :(

@lucy Here in Venezuela most seem to have yet to discover microblogging, so I have a shot at promoting identi.ca
