     @adr @dbs do non-library geeks use RSS? I know some programmers and comp engineers but not sure they use RSS.

     @jenc: sure, blog aggregators (http://planet-php.net and the like) are certainly popular outside libraries; rss is hidden though.

     @jenc That's why we have partial e-mail subscriptions for the LISNews podcasts. For some, that is easier than RSS.
