      @uwehermann is it possible to flash firmware to bricked plastic router ala wrt, dlink, bufallo and others?

      @f4m8 If it's a removable DIP-8 SPI chip: yes. If SO8 soldered: maybe. You can connect SPI pins + power the chip, but rest is untested.

      @f4m8 Other chips are not supported (e.g. LPC/FWH, parallel NOR, or NAND). Also, in-system programming facility depends a lot on your board.
