Our upgrade is complete; we found some bugs in the 0.7.4 version which have been fixed. Identi.ca database upgraded to use UTF-8 natively.

@csarven: quick suggestion re: accessible UI/UX, since it's such an easy and convenient update: "skip links" links for major sections.

@csarven: to be more specific (and hopefully not abusing), always put what matters to the user at the top. Also helps with machines. :)

@singpolyma: yup. Designed the content first, then styled (and unstyled) it as I figured (or researched) each user would find it most usable

@csarven: reorganization is just gravy. :) Just imagining myself with a screen reader, trying to go from page to page and hear the nav +∞

@stephdau There is a tradeoff at every turn i.e., consequences. I hate to say it, but, it will set a major design limit for laconica themes.

@stephdau For variable length content (e.g., different communities, localisations), absolute positioning is asking for trouble IMO.
