Horrified that by voting green in Melbourne, for the NBN and against censorship - I've helped elect a Liberal Govt that will kill the NBN :(

@kattekrab Sorry? That's just wrong. Voting Green in Melbourne has not helped elect a Liberal government.
-
@michaeltwofish - Indirectly yes it has, by contributing to the decrease in Labor's majority in the lower house.
-
@michaeltwofish of course subject tp the 'aligned' independents blessing a liberal minority govt
-
@kattekrab That's a very narrow view of the situation. Inds won't necessarily support Coalition anyway.
-
@michaeltwofish - We just have to wait to see the result. I will be very sorry to see the Libs win. I hope they don't.
-
@kattekrab Of course, me too. But it's a very unusual situation, so don't regret voting for the candidate with closest value match!
-
@michaeltwofish Value denoted in Australian dollars.
-
@joshix Yeah, your US dollars could buy a couple of political parties here.
-
@kattekrab that's what you get for voting above the line :-(
-
@werdna - yep - and before the 2004 election I'd never voted above the line, and after it I learned to never do so again.
-
@kattekrab cheer up, we might yet have a labor gov dragged to the left by being forced to deal with the greens. wouldn't that be nice!
-
@michaeltwofish Not mine so much. You ever try to pay a politician with a check?
-
@joshix We don't have those, we have cheques. And no, but I tried to sell a politician once.
-
@michaeltwofish It's a buyers market and socialize the losses and the profits to line my pockets
-
@joshix You should run for office.
-
@michaeltwofish So say the folks back home.
-
@joshix @michaeltwofish I'd pay to see that.
-
@rpcutts We'll set up a political action committee and take donations.

@kattekrab I've always voted below the line; the details of political parties' Senate tickets aren't very accessible (AEC Web site).
