@lupyxe ubuntu, with lxde wm, .gnomecc colour scheme applied on gnome-color-chooser, and running sdlbasic script accessing pymetar or alike
-
@lupyxe the gnome theme there is a hacked version of Mist from me, for allowing full !gnomecc compatibility - http://ur1.ca/1cs5z
-
@lupyxe i recall one day i tried a .iso of a !puppylinux version with !lxde preinstalled instead of !jwm , almost as light as the jwm one
-
@nitrofurano thanks for tips :)
-
@nitrofurano i prefer openbox instead lxde ;)
-
@otakukuma it is lxde with various changes :)
-
@lupyxe btw, lxde uses openbox 'partially' (window decorations, etc.), and imho it's more light, efficient and useful than xfce :)
-
@lupyxe you're welcome! :)
-
@nitrofurano a text editor/shell/window system hybrid http://acme.cat-v.org & it has its group on !identica
-
@nitrofurano i don't use xfce, i prefer openbox or fluxbox. xfce is getting worse over its new versions
-
@lupyxe yes, and two years ago xfce were bloated enough
-
@bleakgadfly a fact: i strugle on more than 95% of the './configure' and 'make' attempts... :(
-
@bleakgadfly nevermind, i found something at http://code.google.com/p/acme-sac/downloads/list
-
@nitrofurano #ACME's for Plan9 system but u can use it as a #stand-alone-complex. There's a .deb at http://code.google.com/p/acme-sac/
-
@nitrofurano I don't know. Used #ACME on a MS-Windows system only to have an alternative !shell. Maybe possible by adding a .desktop file
-
@otakukuma tried that - i could run the binary, but not yet from gdm/wdm/xdm succesfully like a window manager you said..
-
@otakukuma gdm doesn't accept .desktop files at /usr/share/xsessions with 'Exec=/opt/acme-sac/bin/emu -r /opt/acme-sac -Cr8g8b8a8'
-
@otakukuma now i got an issue: i don't know how to use that alone efficiently - i'm looking for tutorials! :) - please let me know best ones
-
Paulo likes this.
-
@nitrofurano LOL Some computers I work on, aren't mine so I search how to !hack their system
-
@lupyxe yes, really ! :D
-
@otakukuma is ms-windows 'hackable' enough from acme?
-
@nitrofurano depends on what you need
-
@otakukuma well, which are the most common situations, and what is impossible?
-
