Dear !ubuntu, can I have one application that will let me download my music from my ipod. Just one, that's all I ask. :-(
-
@sheepeatingtaz: Doesn't rhythmbox do that?
-
@sheepeatingtaz I installed rockbox on my iPod so I just use a file manager.
-
@sheepeatingtaz: Doesn't #gtkpod do it? I think that's what I used. #iPod !Ubuntu
-
@rpcutts I will microblog how it's working later
-
@spitfire: It lets me copy them, but makes a right pigs ear of the file structure
-
@rpcutts: Tried rockbox, but it didn't work with my FM transmitter. I have, however got a new FM tranmitter that works off the jack...
-
@rpcutts: ...so I will try again. However, I need to get all my music off it first ;)
-
@sheepeatingtaz: banshee?
-
@spitfire: nope. I've tried Banshee, Rhythmbox, exaile, liston, songbird and gtkpod. in the process of trying amarok, but it keeps crashing!
-
@sheepeatingtaz: Wish I still used it to help - had the same problem for a while, but can't remember what fixed it.
-
@sheepeatingtaz there is ppa with amarok 1.4.x somewhere. Look for it;)
-
@spitfire: cheers. Amarok2 has created all the folders, but nothing in them :S
-
@sheepeatingtaz: try 1.4 then.
-
@spitfire: I may well do, just waiting to see if 2 decides to start working again ;-)
-
@sheepeatingtaz: I use Banshee to load my Ipod. I used to use !amarok, but they redesigned the UI & now I can't find the freaking button.
-
@bgryderclock loading the ipod isn't a problem, it's getting the stuff off again!
