     @mosborne01 i'd recommend !xmpp (i'm still using it), but it's not exactly reliable. !identica !linux

     @eightyeight !xmpp is a fast way to microblog, except in most cases you aren't given a character count. My client doesn't.

     @magicbus for !irssi, i grabbed a script called il.pl, which does a character count upwards. works perfectly

     @vando i have !irssi connecting to a local instance of !bitlbee, which is in turn connected to my !xmpp provider
