@tids It says it will use Kopete wherever it's possible. So, sounds like a port to me.

@romariorios that was the plan with Kopete, but it turned out a bit different - so think of it as "a new application with some code reused"

@gerlos I agree, but Kopete really needs to have 2010-era video and audio support in MSN to get there...

@skreech2 Kopete needs good A/V support! That's really all it needs to get back up to speed and not fall behind Skype and Google.

@ronnoc wouldn't it be better to have that in all protocols? :) I think sharing and video in Yahoo are a good standard to shoot for

@skreech2 I agree completely! Let's see what comes of the Telepathy Sprint going on now in the UK.

@ronnoc Yes but it doesn't help that all providers use different means for A/V and change them every 2 or so years. hard to keep up
