@hugh: I always viewed Twitter as a microblogging platform, but identi.ca is a better platform for parasite applications.

@hugh: The important thing about microblog apps is that you've got a web-based state design pattern. That's powerful.

@t3knomanser: twitter's a "platform", but constrained by the company that runs it. identica/laconica is open-you & I can make it better.

@hugh: But I'm certainly not going to muck with the codebase. What I will do is build parasites- for that laconica is obviously superior.
