     @entw that's not an !Amarok problem as it works fine with Xine. gstreamer is just too buggy ...

     @mamarok Why is it then that I've never had any problems with other gstreamer apps or even had any gstreamer-rel problems with !Amarok 2.0?

     (...apart of a stale kde temp.) All I'm saying is that I don't get why !Amarok/Phonon folks have such problems getting gstreamer to work.

     @wwwwolf @mamarok @entw it's not actually either Amarok nor gstreamer which is buggy but it's the gstreamer phonon layer which has probs.

     @wwwwolf: every darn media player I have has no problem with the files. Gstreamer has no idea what to do with it, even after recoding

     @jospoortvliet That's weird, 'cause Totem-gstreamer plays .ogv just fine for me. The way I see it, it's usually the application's fault...

     @sebr Yep, "less mature" &c.. In my view, the problem is that no one fixes these bugs *because* the users switch to "mature" backends...

     @mamarok yes customs. Canoncial ShipIt sent a second parcel, the one I received but the first parcel is still stuck at the customs.
