Does anyone have a reaction to Yammer's enterprise twitter / identi.ca play and their launch at TechCrunch50 ?

@brucemacv My first thought on Yammer is that it's not clear to me what APIs are there. Could I use a client like twhirl with it?

@brucemacv My second thought is that Yammer is a hosted service - and I wonder how that will go for enterprises. Laconica can be on-premise.

@danyork - thanks. I agree it isn't clear (i) what is the Yammer API plan and (ii) how enterprises will react to a cloud service

@brucemacv Yammer does have a AIR desktop app, iphone app, blackberry app and SMS and IM interfaces (don't know *which* IM).

@brucemacv Yes, it's an interesting model... we'll see how well it works for them.
