Getting Dropbox to work on !Xubuntu !Maverick was an anticlimax in the end. It just worked. Just installed from !Ubuntu X86 Deb on the site
-
@tylana That's what I'm not sure about. The Dropbox installer is abit opaque in that sense, It rolls and then it ends - no clues at
-
@tylana All I can say is there was a screen saying "start nautilus" (which usually says restart nautilus) I'd guess it's grabbed there
-
@silner run it from the cli, it has a 3 or 4 page wizard, which installs the daemon, sets up your dropbox folder, account etc
-
@tylana It wasn't ostensibly a Thunar build. The installer was called "nautilus-dropbox_0.6.3_i386.deb"
-
@thistleweb No it was all GUI this time
-
@thistleweb Ah I see what you mean - to see what's happening - misunderstood you there - I might do that to see what happened
-
@tylana @thistleweb It looks to me like Nautilus is already present in !Xubuntu - which seems a bit odd - I'm fairly sure it is, nonetheless
-
@silner it might be, for ubuntuone
-
@thistleweb @silner I install #dropbox on #xfce without nautilus this way: http://ur1.ca/21nww
-
@thistleweb Ah yeah. Could be.
-
@hezy Yeah I did something like that with 10.04 and Debian Xfce
