   What happened to !GetDebi in Maverick Meerkat? Installing stand alone debs launches !Ubuntu Software Centre. Deprecated?

     @gear: you could install gdebi from synaptics and right click on .deb, check it to use gdebi instead of #Ubuntu Software Centre.

     @joemavericksett Ah, Thanks for that! It's less heavy duty than the Software Centre. It's always good to have (reversible options) options.
