@octaflop sure, usability is important. That doesn't have anything to do with whether we should tolerate non-free software.

@kennethgodwin If non-free software is involved, then neither is freedom. Availability of replacements doesn't change that.

@steveyeu I take it that many non-free apps will have free and better clones in the future.

@teddks I don't think there is a community standard for free web apps yet. Even the Franklin Street Statement doesn't seem that definitive.

@sdanna seems definitive to me, but I think we can agree facebook is a non-free network service.

@slackusr Thanks for that link on the "megafreeze" distros - except for enterprise, distros should be either rolling release or < 6 months.
