   Does #Dell use a different version of !GNOME in !Ubuntu ? I hear people having problems with #PolicyKit that normal users don't seem to have

     @qense PolicyKit is *NOT* !gnome. it is a cross-desktop permission management --> http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/PolicyKit

     @baptistemm I know. The problem however, was with the Unlock buttons in gnome-system-tools. But maybe I indeed should also look at PolicyKit
