    Provoking article on simplifying #CC license suite. BY, BY-SA, BY-NC all that are needed? http://fsmsh.com/3461 via @mlinksva @paul_keller

      @thornet Well, not NC ;-) I've been making those points about ND for ages, glad to see them spreading. (Now if only rms takes notice...)

      @robmyers It'd be a hard sell to kill off the most widely-used license, BY-NC-SA. The NDs might go a quieter death. What do you think?

      @thornet: Wikipedia killed off their most popular licence. ;-) But yes, if ND's easy to get rid of that's definitealy a win.

      @thornet why favour BY-NC over BY-NC-SA?

      @thornet #CC table does not show use in ARR works and in works under non-CC licenses.

      @zotz That was the argument in the article sent earlier.Author saying BY-NC & BY-SA achieve individually what BY-NC-SA strives to (& doesnt)

      @thornet I saw that but it does not hold up. I think he knows this and speaks of incorporating SA features into BY-NC.

      @thornet you can take BYNC ARR but BYNCSA must stay BYNCSA.

      @zotz So that's definitely one of the downsides of BY-NC-SA. Very limited remixability. A viable reason to eventually kill it?

      @thornet I don't know, does #CC consider taking a #BYNC work derivative to ARR a plus?
