@thornet Well, not NC ;-) I've been making those points about ND for ages, glad to see them spreading. (Now if only rms takes notice...)
-
@robmyers It'd be a hard sell to kill off the most widely-used license, BY-NC-SA. The NDs might go a quieter death. What do you think?
-
@thornet: Wikipedia killed off their most popular licence. ;-) But yes, if ND's easy to get rid of that's definitealy a win.
-
@thornet why favour BY-NC over BY-NC-SA?
-
@zotz That was the argument in the article sent earlier.Author saying BY-NC & BY-SA achieve individually what BY-NC-SA strives to (& doesnt)
-
@thornet I saw that but it does not hold up. I think he knows this and speaks of incorporating SA features into BY-NC.
-
@thornet you can take BYNC ARR but BYNCSA must stay BYNCSA.
-
@zotz So that's definitely one of the downsides of BY-NC-SA. Very limited remixability. A viable reason to eventually kill it?
