      @seawolf Brilliant, thanks. I need to know if write-protected (on the #Linux side) files are handled properly on the !AROS side.

      @kudlaty Sure, I'll let you know. Thanks for the excuse to play with it again!

      @seawolf You're welcome. If you need further excuses in the future, please let me know, I'm sure I have plenty in store for you. :)

      @kudlaty AROS & Linux-created files remain RO. Editor though modifies text file not by File>Save but File>Quit>Save #bug http://ur1.ca/2m0k1

      @seawolf Thanks, I'm actually after another bug. :) Could you please chmod 400 an icon and see if AROS shows it properly?

      @seawolf E.g. chmod 400 ~/Amiga/AROS/AROS-20101216-linux-i386-system/disk.info

      @seawolf I can confirm what you found out, this is definitely a #bug. What is the procedure to report !AROS bugs?

      @seawolf What happens when you try to load a RO file in the editor?

      Friday, 17-Dec-10 19:55:08 UTC
    • ben ben

      @kudlaty That is what happens. The user can't save a write-protected file, but the application does anyways.

      @kudlaty No idea. I assume as the website is an SF.net project they've a bugtracker there.

      @kudlaty A chmod 400'd .info file is Read/Write/Execute/Delete.

      @seawolf Huh? Here it's only r--d. My problem with RO icons is that they are not displayed at all (or loaded into the editor or whatever).
