      @ienaridens right-click on the device icon on the desktop -> format device (or somesuch)

      @rysiek @eightyeight yep eighty you're right! I already tried rysiek method but it doesn't work...i need an app to format in low-level maybe

      @ienaridens you're still not providing any details on what you're trying to do. format with #ext4? #fat32? #ntfs? zero out? what?

      @eightyeight trying to format with #fat32 through an usb-adapter. nautilus doesn't work, gettin' a strange error message. maybe damaged

      @ienaridens All else fails, try gparted (just make SURE you are formatting the card, NOT your harddrive!!!)

      @darwinsurvivor gparted fails too! it sees the device only if mounted (so not formatable)
