Gave a "Copyright for Wikipedians" presentation tonight to the UMich Wikiepdians student group. http://ur1.ca/2t1d6

@greg I disagree w/slide 8. wonder if that puts me 1/2 way to the rejectionism of @Crosbie :-)
-
@mlinksva: the bundle of rights list? which part?
-
@greg bundle of rights to stop others from doing those things, not to do those things. if need (c) to copy, etc, pd is aberration.
-
@mlinksva good point. What if I put "exclusive" at the beginning of each? That implies prevent/stop others from doing. pd stil aberration?
-
@greg improvement; then only fair use an aberration. :-\ still really exclusive right to stop others, not to do.
-
@greg ps I acknowlege you're using standard definitions; just think those are misleading at best.
-
@mlinksva also fair, but I'm beginning to think at least one will be abberation :/ "right to exclude, except when.."
-
@greg the only one with its own unambiguous symbol is the aberration. :) I'd say yr statement now is close to accurate as poss in short txt.
-
@mlinksva yeah, I'm open to putting this section in different words, so: http://blog.grossmeier.net/2011/01/10/copyright-for-wikipedians/
