Virtual Iron Welcome and Virtualization Strategy Briefing by Oracle July 21. But has VMware got the customers by then? http://bit.ly/cGPXJ
-
@kirstis I thought virtual iron is dead?
-
@jwildeboer yes, but it seems they are adding VI technology to the Oracle VM server virtualization portfolio to get a complete appstack++
-
@kirstis oracle seems to be confused and throws a lot of stuff in a bowl, hoping it might get tasty. Too complex IMHO.
-
@jwildeboer They claim they'll offer "The most comprehensive virtualization and management solution". We'll see about that :P
-
@kirstis OracleVM is already a giant success isnt it? ;-)
-
@jwildeboer Oracle even more Confused about Virtualization than Sun was ... :)
-
@jwildeboer yet I`m wondering why people with a fully working Xen setup would want to move to KVM http://www.krisbuytaert.be/blog/kvm-or-xen
-
@krisbuytaert because Red Hat customers wont even notice. #libvirt abstracts it away. And KVM has some striking advantages.
-
@jwildeboer can you point me to a page with those striking advantages I`m still struggling to find them
-
@krisbuytaert as soon as I am in office. Still stuck in traffic jam.
-
@jwildeboer at least your productive :)
-
@kirstis do you have links on that Oracle Virtualization Strategy Briefing ?
-
@jwildeboer yeah, giant success *lol*
