     @climagic Depends on distro, config. On recent Fedora, F1 is GUI, F2-6 console.

     @climagic Don't know but it was a few versions back. Ctrl-Alt-F1 makes more sense to get back than 7.

     @climagic But I think more changes in newer kernels. It is configurable tho, but configs change each kernel it seems.

     @climagic it is not always F7. I have used ctrl + alt + f9 for fast user switching bt vt 7 & 9
