for some odd reason I'm drawn to try #MeeGo on my netbook, I'm glad I left plenty of unused space #multiboot
about a year ago from pino-
@thistleweb when I tried #Moblin, I like the UI and it direction. It just wasn't ready for everyday use. I still need to try out #Meego
-
@scriptmunkee I do remember trying moblin in live mode, I agree, nice UI but something missing. It was youtube #Meego vids got me curious
-
@thistleweb I don't even know what #Meego looks like these days. What videos got you curious?
-
@scriptmunkee from memory the UI is taken from #Moblin, it looks near identical search for meego netbook - current is meego 1.1
-
@scriptmunkee http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEcc98RbK3o << I think this is 1.0 but the UI paradigm seems pretty settled
-
@thistleweb thanks for the link
-
@scriptmunkee listening to the !lo #Meego special now too, seems it uses different repos from #Fedora so adding apps can be tricky
-
@thistleweb that's the way its been. They are using #Fedora as the baseline, but providing their own repos.
-
@thistleweb overall, adding the #fedora repos into your #Meego installation shouldn't be as much trouble as dan had.
-
@scriptmunkee I've rarely touched #Fedora so I dunno, maybe it was the oem build, maybe it was touch enabled rpms I dunno
