@pookito I love it :) I tried to like gwibber, but it felt slow and not polished (nothing against the dev) anyways i'm trying to move to kde

@cabrey Pidgin does that too. In !kde you have the kwallet.

@slackusr I knew pidgin does that b/c they don't want to depend on gnome-libs for compatibility (cross-platform) reaons

@slackusr I'm sure you know that Pidgin is not GNOME, and doesn't make use of gnome-keyring

@cabrey: Gwibber has gnome keyring support for secure password storage, but the keyring APIs are kind of busted in latest GNOME version. :-(

@segphault ah ok, maybe that'll be fixed by 2.28? btw the !gwibber 2 UI looks purty (throw in some animations and we have a winer) ;)

@cabrey Pidgin does too. They would rather give no sense of security than a false sense of security. !linux !ubuntu !gnome #gwibber

@bruce89 Gwibber *does* use gnome-keyring. Well, unless your gnome-keyring is broken like in 2.26

@gwibber in facelib.py:47 md5 module is deprecated; use hashlib instead ... Segfault (jaunty and gwibber 0.8-0ubuntu5)

And I yet wish @gwibber already had proxy support as I'm also interested in it's Qaiku support.
