does anyone know of a twitter to identica bridge other than ping.fm?
-
@stevegillmor I guess so. I don't remember this particular issue coming up at #BearHugCamp.
-
@evan - just because I'm replying to someone not on twitter doesn't mean those messages are not valuable (VERY) to others (on Twitter).
-
@stevegillmor now you're going backwards :-)
-
@evan to be precise: I haven't marked the first option but every dent goes to twitter while it shouldn't as far as i understand this option.
-
@evan have you received my mail?
-
@stevegillmor: For the bearhug deficient: why would sending @ replies over bridge be OK when namespace conventions haven't been defined yet?
-
@stevegillmor calm down dude.
-
@rfquerin OK, not 100% sure I understand that principle, but I'm switching the default on Identi.ca so that @ replies pass through.
-
@mdumais With the latest podcast link? Just got it!
-
@evan - I find valuable stuff in @replies to other people all the time. I find it hard to reason why I would want those blocked by default.
-
@evan I'll have to go turn it off again when you do, you can't please all of the people... etc.
-
@rfquerin Even so, it would be nice to have an option to block replies to non-related people.
-
@mortonfox - what exactly do you mean? Block replies to people I don't follow from coming into my stream?
-
OK, default for Twitter bridge is to send @-replies through the bridge. @lambic if you turned it off, it should stay off.
-
@rfquerin On Twitter, you have the option to not see replies directed to people you aren't following. Cuts down on the noise there.
-
@rfquerin Blocking may not be the right word because you can still see those replies by going to the sender's stream.
-
@mortonfox - That's a function of how many people and who you follow. I find the ability to see those very useful...
-
@mortonfox - it gives me the ability to pick up on something that might interest me that I never would have otherwise seen.
-
@rfquerin You find those useful but not everyone, which is why I recommend making it an option.
-
@mortonfox - Yes, I
-
@mortonfox - Yes, I'm not against options like that, but it's the default settings that are important.
-
@rfquerin twitter bridge in identi.ca-very cool. now, to get my twitter friends' updates into my identi.ca timeline...any ideas?
-
@crazybilly- right now I don't think you can. Running Twitter and Identica windows in something like Twhirl might be the only answer.
-
@crazybilly - I think Twhirl is working on getting multiple streams into one single window. This would be nice.
