@psquid Are you guys just talking about "minecraft.jar"? Isn't it available on their website for download? Mine works I can send you copy.

@nybill The new one doesn't work. That's what's on the website (unless they've updated it again).

@gomerx I don't know, I never had a problem. I'm in LO now.

@nybill I've had it work once. It just fails to connect to the minecraft.net server to log in most of the time.

@nybill There's a new version to coincide with 1.3, but it seems the new one is suffering a bug where it can't connect.

@nybill And they don't provide the old ones. Don't worry, though, @newbintraining's already sent me one that seems fine :)

@nybill Checking around forums it seems the problem was the login server. The new launcher mostly works now, but isn't 100% stable.

@gomerx well, I guess we are basically beta testers. We should expect this sort of stuff.

@nybill It's irritating that they've built a single point of failure in the login server, but it's possible to work around it.
