1. Stav Prodromou Firefox

   I'm going to try browsing with IE9 for a few days. Just to see if crashes as frequently as !Firefox 3.6 (~ 2x per day #gar)

     @stav You should try !Firefox under Linux instead. It doesn't crash there.

     @vinc17 @stav In my experience, Firefox doesn't crash _anywhere_. What are you doing to that poor browser?

     @vinc17 It may be true that firefox runs crashlessly under Ubuntu. But on a Windows 7 Compaq laptop, it is crashing regularly.

     @stav Have you tried Chrome or Safari on the Win7 laptop? Maybe a bad DLL that Firefox depends on and webkit may not need.

     @stav !Firefox doesn't crash under Mac OS X either (but it quickly becomes very slow). The crashes could be due to Windows 7.

     @vinc17 Yeah that must be it, Windows 7 is the culprit. Why is it no other application, not even IE9 on same sites, has ever crashed?

     @vinc17 BTW, check bugzilla & search on "mac crash" under !firefox. There are *many* crash bug reports. Ostrich behavior does not fix bugs.

     @stav !Firefox 3 has never crashed on my Mac (contrary to FF2, last crash being in June 2008). Mac OS X itself occasionally crashes.
