!Empathy won't start: Unable to select the newly created GLX context. Anyone having the same problem? !Debian #Sid !linux
-
@danielmarti yea, same problem here. someone should file a bug i guess ;)
-
@mue I've never done it before, I am now searching for some information :)
-
@danielmarti tell me in case you need help. http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?pkg=empathy;dist=unstable
-
@danielmarti: http://is.gd/dezEE5 Maybe?
-
@rivenathos Yes, exactly. But empathy worked fine for me with that same version a few days ago...
-
@danielmarti: If you cannot get Empathy to work right now, consider Gajim (python-based IM)
-
@danielmarti: There have already been changes to other packages since the other day, as well.
-
@rivenathos Right now, my internet runs at 10 kilobytes per second. How fun. I'm going to try a command-line based (about 300KiB)
-
@danielmarti: Gajim is a small package. Plus, it might be handy to have as a backup until Empathy works properly.
-
@rivenathos I can't get the terminal-based one to work, so I might as well download the one you told me :)
-
@danielmarti: Oh yeah, Gajim is the same package in Squeeze and Sid. You have the DVD handy, right?
-
@rivenathos Good to know, but don't worry :) I'll be fine.
-
@danielmarti: With the DVD, you will not require any bandwidth at all. You left that DVD as one of your sources, right?
-
@rivenathos No, I did not. But it can be easily be found.
-
@danielmarti: GNOME 3 info - http://is.gd/eqXYIi
