@marxistvegan At the time, these ideas were not exactly mainstream. Pete Seeger was much maligned and rediculed.

@stav However I still find Seeger to be like a lower-case Woody Guthrie minus originality, humanity, & humor. Like perennial college radio.

@marxistvegan I have listened to Utah Philips a little but I don't think he was blessed with the same mellifluous pipes as Seeger.
