@kevie as in android market or iphone app store? Can the software center be installed on Mepis?

@sebsebseb I don't see Mandriva as a total newbie distro esp. when it come to installing apps.

@lstench I think the software center is over rated, I preferred the old add & remove tool. Software center is slow and clunky IMHO
