   why does !emacs have a #twitter account? shouldn't a !gnu package be !twitterfree?

     @archena #twitter is non-free. !emacs, as a !gnu package, should only advocate !freesoftware as per the !gnu standards.

     @tychoish an !emacs twitter account isn't like a port to a non-free OS. The port lets users be free, using #twitter implies recommendation.

     @teddks @sebasmagri of course we need to evangalize emacs. people are wrongly choosing non-free, less viable editors such as textmate! :)

     @archena news websites are not analogous to network services. There isn't any reason to market !gnu or !emacs at the expense of freedom.

     @trombonechamp I very much doubt the legitimacy of an @rms twitter account. Especially one with four posts in all spanish.

     @teddks , Emacs is a thing, not a person, nor even an organization. So obviously, Emacs doesn't have a Twitter (or Identi.ca) account.

     @hober if we're to be orthodox then, we should ask @rms AKA Saint IGNUtias as to whether !emacs should have an unofficial #twitter account.
