@foosel Have a look at this: http://dmytry.com/games/index.html Available on #Steam and has demo for Mac/Win/Lin. IMO an absolute #geek game
- Peter Guhl likes this.

@0x6d686b: hm... looks nice, but a bit too abstract for my taste. thanks for the hint though! :)
-
@foosel I can't play fluently it on my MacBookPro 13" C2D 2.26GHz 4GB RAM on my 1080p screen. But it's … colorful! :-)
-
@0x6d686b: talking about colorful, I have yet to wrap my head around Space Pirates and Zombies -> http://is.gd/jFfAFr

@0x6d686b Great! Well, the trailer nearly kills my Mac G5 but that's likely to be a problem with Safari and youtube.
-
@foosel Is that kinda on of those repetitive strategy game?
-
@0x6d686b: top down space combat with upgradable ships and such...
-
@foosel I think I have to buy a gaming PC first … my laptop is really not for gaming purposes. Ouch, too slow!
-
@0x6d686b: it's a good investment ;)
-
@foosel I don't know: I would have to spend 1000€ and then mess around with OS, games etc. Does PS3 have displayport?
-
@0x6d686b: nope, but hdmi if that helps, that's at least dvi compatible
-
@0x6d686b: and 1000€? Depends highly on the components and if you build it yourself you should be able to land below that...
-
@foosel Core i5 (at least) a decent graphic and a non-noisy cooling system … well even C't goes not way below 700€.
-
@0x6d686b: 700 and 1000 is a biiig difference in my book ;)
-
@foosel True, but still … it's a lot for a student. Meh, students must not game. Must learn little padawan. :-\
-
@0x6d686b: I also gamed during my time at uni ;) wasn't on a high end machine, sure, but mid ranged components are usable as well
-
@0x6d686b Next week I'll buy a video beamer and try this game in home-cinema-quailty. It's made for *big* screens! :-)
-
@foosel Well, I should rather do more with code and math and less with game and photography. :-(
-
@foosel me wants a android tablet, a desktop, a NAS and some new lens for my camera. Oh, it does cost money? … meh … :-(
