@ahynes1 Don't you have shell access ? Have you tried darcs ? Is it that inferior to Subversion ? I can't comment 'cos I'm not a developer.

@evan I don't think the VCS system is that important. A darcs-SVN gate would be nice. It seems like the real concern is encouraging devlprs

@andyc I have shell access and don't mind darcs. Others don't have shell access and/or feel unwelcome.

@psykoyiko There are some VCSes, like CVS and SVN, that have GUI clients for Windows.

@danbri I agree that forking is a horrible idea. IMHO, discussing it makes it less likely and opens up the process.
