     @loug hmm u cld switch the crunchbang xfce layout back to standard in the settings menu. Other than that i'm no good 4 middle ground sggstns

     @loug I had similar problems. cpufrequtils did the trick for me. Search in the repos for it.

     @loug if you are reading the installation documentation it is not that hard to install. Try it on a virtual machine first :)
