@eightyeight When you say "instability", what do you mean? That it goes on and off line?
-
@evan yes. online/offline, posts notices, doesn't post notices. it's constant, at least once per day. sometimes more.
-
@evan currently, the bot shows offline in my roster, yet it's still delivering messages to me. how is that possible?
-
@eightyeight Yeah, it's just a hard thing to keep working. That's why Twitter gave up. We probably should, but our XMPP…
-
@evan what are the problems? is it hard to scale? something else?
-
@evan http://macno.org/denticator/ shows that !xmpp is the 2nd most used source, outside of the website. 'twould be a shame to lose
-
@eightyeight first they need proper multilib support (work-ongoing) then we speak again
-
@evgeni what do you mean "multilib support"?
-
@eightyeight properly run a mixed 32/64bit system (not 64bit kernel, 32bit userland, but 64bit kernel and 64/32bit userland)
-
@eightyeight heh, yeah, i always forget to put "reply #postid" in front of my posting through the xmpp gateway :)
