@cyberkiller Don't seem ugly to me… _is_ it just you? Post a screenshot?

@cyberkiller It's not only your "problem". Looks like they changed old buttons. Pity, I also liked them more.

@cyberkiller few years ago Firefox was *the* browser; now it still is the browser that broke the back of IE. regardless of its problems.

@cyberkiller so unless you're able to write a better one, don't call it names. it has earned our respect through the years.

@rysiek the only reason #Opera is not in firefox' place is cause of the webdev conspiracy to not support it ;-P

@cyberkiller I think code openness of Firefox might have played a part. as in: a huge farking part. Opera was earlier, it had its chance.

@rysiek Did Opera come out before Netscape Navigator, though? Considering Firefox is the result of the opening of Netscape code...

@marcusharrison Mozilla Browser was the Open Netscape. Firefox used some of the codebase but AFAIK was a re-write by and large

@rysiek You're right, of course, but the point still stands: Netscape was wildly popular, and I think that carried over to Firefox a lot.

@rysiek I had nothing against Firefox back in the day when everybody pushed for stanards and all websites looked equally good everywhere...

@rysiek ...but now it's like IE6 all over again - support for only 1 browser & its features, not standards, only that browser now is Firefox

    • Michał Andrzej Woźniak Michał Andrzej Woźniak

@cyberkiller that One Browser is not Firefox. it's Webkit engine. so if you want to pick a fight agains a soon-to-be monopolist, pick that.

@cyberkiller and instead of whining about how bad Firefox is, why not write to the webadmin of said page with a few nice words about Opera?

    • Michał Andrzej Woźniak Michał Andrzej Woźniak

@cyberkiller besides, the amount of things that are covered by standards and implemented properly in any modern browser is much, much higher

    • Michał Andrzej Woźniak Michał Andrzej Woźniak

@cyberkiller than just a few years ago. in no small part because of Firefox and community's push for it. so no badmouthing please. :)

@rysiek the way I see it: gecko - site looks ok, webkit - ok, trident - ok, presto - not ok == webdev conspiracy against !Operab

    • Michał Andrzej Woźniak Michał Andrzej Woźniak

@cyberkiller the way I see it: support for CSS multicol - webktit: aye; gecko: aye; presto: nay. opera's conspiracy against being upported.

    • Michał Andrzej Woźniak Michał Andrzej Woźniak

@cyberkiller or we can just drop the "conspiracy" bullshit and think for a minute how to fix things, instead of whining.
