What kind of server would be best and cheapest to get for a home !RHEL server(CentOS, SL)?
-
@jargon I want to use it to get my RHEL exam.
-
@sandersch HP Microservers are pretty good, and I'm not saying that because I work for them. They're only a couple of hundred Euros...
-
@mo6020 I found the HP site dificult to navigate.
-
@sandersch yeh, it sucks. The servers are worth a look tho..
-
@mo6020 are they the ML series servers?
-
@sandersch http://is.gd/M3jpxm - Those ones...
-
@jargon it's shit and slow too.
-
@mo6020 that link won't load for me.
-
@sandersch shit website, it works for me..
-
@mo6020 it's pointing to the HP UK site, maybe that's the problem?
-
@sandersch maybe, just Google for "HP microserver Netherlands" and you'll find it. They're what I'd buy if I needed another server
-
@mo6020 found it. I wonder if this has 64bit support and if it has hw virtualization.
-
@mo6020 @sandersch got this in my email today: http://maxict.nl/product/2811436 #microserver
-
@sandersch not sure about 64bit but I've run VMWare ESX on one so it'll handle being a virtualization host
-
@gbraad yeh, that's the tinker.
-
@sandersch sheevaplug or one of it's derivitaves? (hard to beat on "cheapest")
