The race for the discovery of the DNA molecule is almost just like the way massively parallel programming is, hard problem but GREAT payoffs

Oh, Jamendo is off for maintainance at the moment. Just as I'm trying to do the show notes for Rathole Radio. Oh well will have to wait !RR
-
@dantheman It's been on and off today. I missed a couple of hours ago, made a hit half an hour later.
-
@mjjzf Hope it's just popularity and not another DDOS then :)
-
@dantheman seen this yet? http://bit.ly/2MN5pB
-
@dantheman I personally think it's EXACTLY what Linux needs.
-
@elnerdodegeek It's an interesting idea and I think the likes of Chrome OS and Android are doing just this. Mond is a terrible name though
-
@dantheman it is indeed. Lol. It sounds sluggish and bloated. The article's good tho.
-
@dantheman and chrome os? Srsly, That looks like a load of fail. There are still certain conveniences to having hard drives yknow.
-
@dantheman maybe in a few decades Internet service will be constant enough for COS to work. Now tho, I don't think so. :/
-
@elnerdodegeek Have you used the offline web services powered by Google Gears? I know a few people using offline Gmail and more
-
@elnerdodegeek I'm not particularly a fan of Chrome OS as a concept but don't underestimate Google's power to succeed
-
@elnerdodegeek They could also easily sell the cheaper branded hardware this article talks about and they already have a big brand
-
@dantheman I just dont get chrome OS, why not just use android?
-
@elnerdodegeek Time will tell if it succeeds but I wouldn't bet against them
-
@feekes That's what I said. They could easily adapt Android for the netbook market, many people are already trying to do that
-
@elnerdodegeek My point was that operating system powered by Linux but not advertising it already exist everywhere. We'll see more in future
-
@dantheman I am a fan of the concept, but not the execution.
-
@dantheman its ok since you just dislike the whole Chrome OS idea since i asked you to consult for me about a name before Google even did ;)
-
@dantheman Guess i should pay attention. LOL.
-
@feekes Meh, I wouldn't worry. I never do :P
-
@dantheman i dont think andriod would work as a netbook platform, its just wasnt built to function that way
-
@heavensrevenge Yes I remember that and I read your blog post about it. The browser based OS concept. You should have patented it ;)
-
@dantheman he's canadian. Nobody cares about canadians patenting anything
-
@bigbrovar Maybe, but I think the code base and other things could be reused. It could be adapted, maybe that's what they're doing
-
@bigbrovar I agree with you ... I don't get the point for android on a netbook .. but lots of people are waiting for this
-
@edythemighty theres this thing called open source and intellectual property(IP), they dont mix, maybe you should check it out sometime ;)
-
@edythemighty of course not, theres only like 17 canadians anyway :-p
-
@bigbrovar I also thinks so , about the google brand
-
@heavensrevenge without the same laws that protet the latter, the former isn't possible. in a way, that's mixing! :P

@sleepynate QUITE awesome as a contrast to the Haskell tutorial, I'll definitely be referencing it for people wanting to learn Erlang :)
