    Just found out the hard way that you can't tether an !Android phone to a #Mac like you do with #Ubuntu, by just plugging in the USB cable :(

      @legoscia it even works with windows, what's the problem? Are you using android's stock tether?

      @mvdan Yes, I'm just setting USB mode to 'Internet sharing', but Mac OS thinks it's a modem and asks for a phone number.
