     @loug In Linux !Mint, you're actually expected to backup, format, reinstall cleanly and restore.

     @loug hmm I've never stuck with mint long enough to go through an upgrade so i'm not sure. The mint tutorial recommends upgrade from LiveCD

     @loug absolutely nothing wrong. I actually think in-OS upgrades are the best method (another reason for my debian fanaticism)
