@IBDeditorials oh & nice correction after the fact, but thank you for proving that NHS in the US would actually help people & not hurt them

@marxistvegan Please tell @exador23 http://identi.ca/notice/8009870
-
@marxistvegan when you are in a text editing field of a form, your keyboard should work like it does in a text editor http://ur1.ca/8yby
-
@exador23 Indeed. (Even when I *have* to use a web editor, I still usually don't. I write in acme and copy-paste clean text to browser.)
-
to do otherwise is to jump out o the field you're typing in. a standard web protocol is TAB to the next field. if you want ↵=Send, Tab first

@exador23 Re: camping out in street for healthcare. I know the system is fucked up, but you'd prob have better luck just going to the Dr.
-
@josh I have @ $150 to my name right now, and no real work for 3 weeks. Seeing a doc is out of the question.
-
@exador23: Go to the ER. You have to be treated regardless of ability to pay.
-
@alpacaherder I'm looking for the normal checkup kind of stuff a 42yo that hasn't had healthcare since the Air Force 15yrs ago should get.
-
make that 18yrs ago & although the ER has to treat you, you still get a bill. I've been 2x. owe $22k. can't pay → can never own a house.
-
@exador23 - What's new ...
-
@kmullins not much. just tilting at windmills ;) excellent !identicadesign skills. that's a pleasant page.
-
@exador23 I was being flippant & didn't intend to seem unsympathetic.
-
@exador23 ER tip: don't go in with any sort of ID. Say you lost it/never had it. They still have to treat you.
-
@exador23 - Thanks - One change that I like is the background and different colors allowed in profile.
-
@frankenspock & so, who *are* these people who're supposedly angry about changing a system that produces a 'tip' like that?
-
@josh People who don't have health coverage and can't afford a trip to the ER even for an x-ray. It's pretty much the way things work.
-
@josh Oh wait, do you mean who are the yelling people? Beats me, but I think I saw them all at the tea parties, too.
-
@josh The funny thing is, that tip was given to me by an ER nurse.
-
@josh I didn't catch the flippancy, but didn't view it as unsympathetic either :)
