Serious question, does _everyone in all 12 of those groups_ really need to hear about your audiocast?
-
@speeddefrost Maybe in a way, but I do mention all of that in the episode :)!
-
Then _tag it_ with those, don't use the groups. Think of it this way, group !{whatever} is for speaking to people interested in ..
-
.. {whatever}, tag #{whatever} is for identifying something that's connected in some way to #{whatever}.
-
And as a final note, !{whatever} implies #{whatever}, so only one of the two is ever needed.
-
@psquid No I guess not, so probably should have used more tags instead, but that dent will disappear into oblivion soon anyway!
-
Quicker if you delete it ;)
-
Well that's annoying. The way that groups are used in practice, the equivalent tag _should_ be implied, imo. :(
-
@psquid I agree sending to a group should send to the tag like before, but I do think it's good that can also subscribe to tags now :).
-
@sebsebseb Yep. Tags for "this is related", groups for "we share an interest, so I think you'll like this", and tag subscriptions for ..
-
@sebsebseb .. people who just want to see _everything_ relating to a topic. :)
-
I never use #tags except this once, but you, please do elsewise.
