@morningporch Dead thing under the house: that's the worst, isn't it? Quite often rats die in the walls of this old house and it's horrible.

I lived for a time in an old wooden cabin and one fall something died in the walls. It was terrible for weeks. Sorry to hear.

Tis amazing how even a small dead thing can create such a large smell.

@marvin Exactly. Like a cloud of awful air. And have you noticed how it changes over time? I'm becoming a forensic expert of rotting smells.
