Opening Up Government Data: Give it to Us Raw, Give it to Us Now - http://bit.ly/kTv03 hey, that would make a great T-shirt slogan #opendata

♺ @glynmoody: Does Copyright Matter? Or, is the End of Dual-Licensing Near? - http://bit.ly/SUJ6e more wise words that go to heart of OSS...

@glynmoody good to see you on here.. reading Rebel Code as a college freshman was one of the first things that led to me being here today :)
-
@cwebber that's really great to hear
-
@glynmoody If youd write a follow-up, would you release it as cc? how about writing a community driven book, by setting up a google doc?
-
@pietercolpaert if I were to write one, it would definitely be CC. The Google doc idea is interesting: might a wiki be better?
-
@glynmoody Mike read you http://ping.fm/U6Wyc
-
@schestowitz thanks for passing that on. I was pleasantly surprised to come across it
-
@glynmoody, maybe it would, as long as people can contribute :-) Although I dont see how a wiki would turn into a paperback
-
@eximious I seem to recall seeing a copy near the floor on one of the FSF's bookshelves when I visited. Wonder how good my memory is? ;)
-
@pietercolpaert We write !Fedora release content in a wiki for the best collaboration, then convert to DocBook XML for publishing goodness.
-
@pietercolpaert I think it could, suitably reformatted. It's something that would need to be built in from the start
-
@pietercolpaert well, we need to think this through a little, no? #rebelcode
-
@glynmoody considering the many developments in free software in the last ten years, Id buy a copy of Rebel Code 2.0
John Drinkwater likes this. -
@glynmoody Would be especially interesting to see a chapter on the emergence of free culture from free software
-
@glynmoody Oh! I didn't mean for that to sound intimidating. :)
-
@pietercolpaert Or via a !flossmanuals style book sprint?
-
@cwebber We do have lots of books here... I don't think that's currently one of them, but it may have been here in the past.
