OH, *that's* why. The API is shit. It should be as simple (if not more) as "${rootapi}/notice/new" but catering to twits is more worthwhile?

@speeddefrost I'm far more concerned about the pieces of the API that are missing compared to the web interface than naming conventions.
-
@kevingranade I find the lack of APIs for remote subscriptions to be particularly bothersome, especially now I'm trying to migrate.
-
@psquid get out of my brain! That's the main issue I was referencing :)

Yes. Catering to the legacy interface that became standard is/was more worthwhile. Welcome to programming.

Welcome to Capitalism, where people lock away most of their potential to "get shit done on time" instead of doing things *properly*.

You can always scale a problem up. Welcome to Life, where no one gets what they want and everyone dies.

Welcome to my pants, where always is party in there. In the pants. Party. Party with pants.

No cover for the ladies.

I recommend using the AtomPub API http://identi.ca/url/35774055 Much richer than the Twitter one!

Like what?

Also, what's with the loaded language? It doesn't help anyone want to help you.

Sorry, I tend to bitch a lot.
-
Yeah, OK. Me too.

@evan Is the ActivityStrea.ms API equally rich? (I much prefer working with JSON-y data, and that's the variant of AS that SN seems to use.)
-
@evan the particular pain point now is establishing remote subscriptions, or is there some way to do that through the regular follow api?
