@samatjain Have you seen the new Nook that's coming out? The Nook Tablet.

Yah, but asking about the NC — Hoping that I'll be able to grab a refurb Nook Color for <$100. USB charging, hackable, & CHEAP!

@samatjain have one running CM7.1 It doesn't run FF well. It doesn't run well on my more capable N1 either. I don't find it usable.

@samatjain but the NC with CM is worth getting.

@mcg I too have been researching NC + CM. What browser do you prefer/use on that device?

@mcg Are there other tablets that can be hacked to run CM, that are comparable to NC + CM?

@rw I generally just use the stock browser. It does everything I need. Opera Mobile is a good alternative. Stay away from Dolphin.

@rw Official ports are here http://goo.gl/bhI1Y. Other devices have ports, such as the Touchpad, but they are a work in progress.

@mcg Unfortunately, the stock Android browser is garbage… reasonably fast, but buggy and many missing features (hello, Autopager & AdBlock)

@mcg Firefox Mobile is unpleasantly tolerable on a phone, but last Tegra 2 tablet I tried it on was great. Wonder where the NC lies

@samatjain By the way, I'm intending to buy a cheap !Android phone next Black Friday. What gives me the best quality per dollar ratio?

@csolir For a phone? No idea, sorry… it's difficult to keep up w/ phones, many are carrier specific and require contracts

@mcg OK, but what is the deal with Dolphin -- I seem to recall that folks thought it was a decent browser?

I found FF slow and clunky on my N1 even more so on the NC.

The speed and doubly tap zoom are all I ever needed from the stock browser. Other features(adblock,etc..) are addable in other ways with CM.

@mcg @support This is a 2nd instance of a reply sent to me that does not appear in my Personal Timeline. Is this a bug?

@mcg There's more to mobile Web browsing than that. BTW, review of !Firefox on Tegra-based tablets: http://identi.ca/url/60332977
