Ugh... I HATE the forced shortlinks, especially since I use another link shortening service for my own needs.

@eightyeight It's explained somewhere in the API documentation why and what is being done. Clients lack proper support.

@eightyeight I don't agree with it & doubt that it supposedly trumps spam/scam links, but it's not as stupid as I initially thought.
