In booking hotel !SCALE, I've got a situation I've never had before regarding #bedbugs. Who should I believe: http://ur1.ca/6btrn ?
-
@bkuhn would you like me to use total probability or laplacian smoothing?
-
@bkuhn Have you tried contacting LA County health dept? They might have more reliable info.
-
It seems things are even worse: http://ur1.ca/6bu0w & it seems most #LAX hotels have some #bedbugs reports. Where will I stay for !SCALE?

I've never encountered bed bugs. I had no idea this was common until @bkuhn started telling me about them. #moredebuggingplease
-
@fotnana, I'm a crusader helping FLOSS conference travelers avoid #bedbugs! Should we have a #BedBugs BoF wherein I teach searching methods?
Deb Nicholson and Jason Self like this. -
@bkuhn and extermination methods!
-
@bkuhn so, nuke it from orbit then? Is that the only way to be sure?
-
Bedbugs are extremely common.
-
@fontana that's actually a valid question. less travel time means more hacking time
-
@fontana such as having all conference attendees inspect every bed re "given enough eyeballs, all bugs are shallow"?

@fontana that one's far more interesting. that'd require travel, so I think productivity would actually decrease
-
@fontana well I'm assuming that conservancy work includes flying out/flying ppl in to talk to, sign stuff, etc. which this would impede
-
The nuking of our bedroom with two kinds of "fumigator" is correlated with, but not proven to be the cause of, the lack…
-
You should do an ignite talk where you teach us how to fight bedbugs with fire.
-
I would also purchase any kind of bed bug detection device with the Conservancy logo on it. #fundraisingpossibilities
-
I genuinely LOL'ed. Also, I support this idea.
