@samatjain KMail 4.7.4 has been working great for me. Though I admit I don't use any advance features, just simple IMAPed GMail.

Can't say I use advanced features either… but sitting 5 min for boxes to sync before checking my inbox is inane

@elgatolibre Kubuntu 11.10 - most things work, some things I found ways to deal with but still not up to KMail1

@elgatolibre example: search for mail with letters having umlauts (as Å etc) - not working

@elgatolibre arch sounds a bit too hectic for "non pros" and I help quite a few such. KU has some sort of problems but the ppa's GREAT

@zxsinclair I recently did from #Kubuntu to #openSUSE and it's still a bit strange to me, but I'm confident I'll get used to it

@samatjain I like openSUSE a lot but I must say that their integration of KMail is the worst I have used. Mandriva and Mageia are way better
